Westminster Shorter Catechism Music Project

Peru Mission team member Allen Smith is doing a great job composing tunes for the Westminster Shorter Catechism, which was translated into Spanish by Peru Mission team member, Alonzo Ramirez. This will be a very effective way to teach children the truths of Scripture.

Wichanzao Presbyterian Church is already teaching them to the kids who come to their Saturday outreach program. Allen Smith reports: "Even though many of the kids don't yet regularly attend church, they love to sing these tunes. It is thrilling to hear many young voices singing these catechisms around the neighborhood!"

Listen to samples here.

More Pix from Cajamarca

The week of ministry in Cajamarca was full and fulfilling. The dentists attended 463 patients in 4 days; the doctors attended more than 460; the footings were poured for the new church addition (more Sunday School rooms); hundreds of children heard the gospel and experienced the love of Jesus Christ; many women benefitted from biblical counseling; 20 or so seminary students delved into the Scriptures every night; Medical Students at the University heard a very informative lecture from an experienced cardiologist; and the body of Christ was built up and encouraged. Praise be to God!
