Kids' Art Show
Sadly, Summer Art Classes are over (since Peruvian schools begin their new school year next week). So, today, the art school we have been attending had an Exhibition to show off all of the students' work. Our kids were so proud of what they learned and created during the past two months. And their parents were too!!!

VBS in Arevalo
.jpg)
Arevalo Presbyterian Church is hosting Vacation Bible School through Sunday. The kids are divided into 4 age groups, and Bill is teaching an adult class for parents who are interested in learning as well. Every class is learning the same lesson each day - from the life of Joseph - so that the whole family can discuss what they are learning together at home. Please pray for the teachers and for the precious families attending VBS.

English Service at Larco
For several years, the Peru Mission team in Trujillo has held a monthly worship service in English - so that we could pray, sing and hear the Word in our own heart language. Until now, a different missionary family hosted the service in their home each month. Last month, the session of the Larco Presbyterian Church requested that we hold the English Service in their sanctuary each month, to serve as an outreach to students at our English language institute, as well as others we meet in the community who speak English. So, tonight was our first English service in the Larco sanctuary - quite a blessing to all of us who attended!

IPC Medical Campaign Week
Lots of good ministry going on this week with a team of 22 medical folks from Independent Presbyterian Church, Memphis, TN. They will be seeing patients all over the city - setting up mobile clinics in the Presbyterian churches - Larco, Arevalo & Wichanzao - and out in two poor neighborhoods surrounding the churches - Milagros & Clementina. We are so thankful that they all arrived safely, with all of the medical equipment and medicines they set out with, and look forward to seeing God's blessings pour through them to the people of Trujillo.

Larco Valentine's Dinner
The Youth Group at Larco Presbyterian Church hosted a romantic dinner for the married couples in our Presbyterian churches on Friday night. It was a lovely evening of encouraging fellowship and good food - especially poignant in this culture, which doesn't have a high view of marriage. Lenin, ever the emcee, had each couple come up and redeclare their vows or tell how they met, which was touching and entertaining. The couple who have been married the longest (68 years!) recommitted to be together for another 68 years!

Larco Presbyterian Missions Conference

Larco Presbyterian Church hosted its First Missions Conference last weekend, inspiring a broader view of outreach among its members. The guest speakers were two Peruvian Missionaries: Dario from the Amazon Jungle and Trino from the Andean Mountains. These godly men are Peruvians who are serving as missionaries in their own country - which is great since they already know the language and the culture (although they both expressed how different the cultures are in the areas where they serve - Peru is an extremely diverse country). Please pray for these earnest missionaries and for the Larco church members who heard their messages this weekend.

Art in the Park

The kids are taking special art classes during the Peruvian summer break. Mollie and William are taking a "Comics" class, which teaches the basics of caricatures and comic strip drawing. Hannah is taking a basic drawing and painting class for 6-8 year olds. Yesterday, Hannah's class moved out to the park for inspiration, which was a fantastic experience for her.
