March Update

Kids in Our Larco Church

On Saturday Bill led a conference, entitled “Por Que Catequizar?” (“Why Catechize?”), for the Sunday school teachers of our 3 churches here in the Trujillo area. The training session focused on the importance of progessing from the Bible stories to teach the doctrine found in the Bible. In this manner we seek to arm them to face the various trials and temptations that are bound to come - they will be prepared to encounter life with a solid view of who God is, who they are and what God can and will do for His children and His glory. The teachers were greatly encouraged to meet this challenge – we look forward to seeing how God uses this in the lives of many!

Ladies' Bible Study

Allen has been greatly encouraged by the two Bible studies she's participating in - one, in English, is with the ladies of our Peru Mission team, which has been a refreshing time of fellowship every Tuesday morning. The other Bible study, in Spanish, with a dear friend of ours, has been especially exciting as we have seen our friend marvel at the mercy of God. She exclaimed, "I understood last night that God wants to forgive us no matter how bad we are; no matter what I have done, He really, honestly loves me and wants to forgive me as I am!" Praise the Lord!

Allen and the kids spent the weekend at the pool with the Bakers – so they are renewed and ready to begin another week of homeschooling!

Next week we will have a group of 26 from Redeemer Presbyterian Church and All Saints Presbyterian Church - both in Austin, TX - and students from the RUF groups at Texas A & M and the University of Texas . They will begin construction on our new medical clinic in the Arevalo church plant, as well as help with Vacation Bible School at this foundling church. Our team member John Ferguson will be leading them, so we also look forward to some good team fellowship.
