In keeping with USA traditions, we had a Big Easter Egg Hunt today. The Peruvians do observe Easter, but only as a Catholic holiday. They don't do Easter egg hunts, chocolate bunnies, new white Sunday shoes and all the things we associate with the annual "Welcoming of Spring" Celebrations (could it be because we are actually welcoming Fall down here on the other side of the equator?). 
So, over the years, we have collected plastic eggs from the USA to celebrate with all of our children. We had 20 missionary kids running wild during the hunt - and afterwards, thanks to sugar highs!
