Fridays with the Women in Arevalo

Women's Meetings on Fridays at Arevalo are still exciting and encouraging, with a consistent attendance of 25-30 eager women each week.

We have begun reading through the gospel of John together, delving into one chapter a week - indivudually at home during the week, and then together on Fridays. We are challenging one another to memorize a verse from the current chapter each week - and have been excited to see several women rise to the challenge each week!

Intern Katie Gaylor taught a cooking class during August- a real treat for the women because they learned interesting, easy dishes - and they got to sample the delicious dishes at the meeting as well. In September, Liz Hayford, a doctor visiting from Anderson, SC, gave a very informative talk on women's health issues. Currently, the women are working hard on a quilting project led by our founder, Corinne Bradford.

Please remember these women and the church in Arevalo in your prayers.
