We have two unique university groups from North Carolina visiting this week. The first group allows us a special visit from Bill's sister, Marianne, a professor of systems accounting at North Carolina State University. Marianne is leading a group of MBA students who are in Peru to learn about business in a third world country. They will be touring some businesses (asparagus is a huge export product of this area) and writing a paper on microfinancing, specifically studying Sinergia. We are so excited to have Marianne here! Also with us this week is an RUF group from Johnson & Whales University , a culinary university in Charlotte, NC. They will be helping remodel the new Sinergia offices in Wichanzao, so that they can move out of the church building - this allows Sinergia continue expanding and frees up much needed space for classrooms in the church.
To welcome them, and just enjoy fellowship with one another as well, we had a Picnic in the Park in front of our house on Sunday - with the whole Peru Mission team and friends!
