Trujillo is in the middle of its XV International Bach Festival, being celebrated from August 7-22. The two older Bradford kids participated in the Festival as well, performing in a marvelous concert tonight with 'La Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil Juvenil' (The Youth Symphony Orchestra). They performed several pieces by Bach (Gavotte, Minuet, Bourré, etc.), as well as "Humoresque" by Dvorak. The crowd gave them a standing ovation! It was a wonderful night.Peru Mission intern, Gillian Baikie, played the cello beautifully, as did her Peruvian students.
Our friend Tirzah played with the Orchestra as well.
