We took advantage of the still-beautiful summer weather this weekend and made a team beach trip. We spent the day at Cerro Negro Beach ("Black Mountain" Beach) - a remote beach area about 45 minutes south of Trujillo. The kids had a magical time exploring the mountains surrounding us and riding the waves, while the adults enjoyed the relaxing conversation and took a few turns riding the waves as well!

looks like a great way to beat the heat and end summer. looks like fun. i think it is cruel to have such things as land-locked countries.
